Sloane Square Shopping Centre is situated on Sloane Street, Bryanston, Johannesburg. The centre is managed by Nevada Group, who is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This website is built and maintained by Shoaib Consulting as an operator acting on Nevada Group’s instructions.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately small. We only collect what you choose to give us, plus limited technical information needed to run the site.

We do not collect special personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Why we may lawfully process it

- Legitimate interest — answering an enquiry you sent us, and keeping the site secure and working.
- Contract — where a leasing discussion progresses towards an agreement.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with our website and hosting provider (Shoaib Consulting) so the site can operate, with professional advisers where a leasing matter requires it, and with authorities where the law compels us. Any operator we use is bound in writing to process information only on our instructions and to keep it secure.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for two years from the last contact. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Leasing records are kept for the duration of any resulting agreement plus the retention period required by law. Technical logs are kept for twelve months.
Where it is stored
Information is stored on servers in South Africa or in jurisdictions with comparable data-protection laws. Where information is transferred outside South Africa, we make sure it is protected to a standard consistent with POPIA.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to stop processing it, or to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

We aim to respond to any request within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transport, restricted access to enquiry records, and regular review of who can see what. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the Regulator if a breach is likely to affect you.
CCTV at the centre
The centre operates CCTV in public areas for the safety of shoppers, tenants and staff. Signage is displayed at the entrances. Footage is retained for 30 days unless required for an investigation, and is released only to law enforcement or in response to a lawful request.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change affects how we use information you have already given us, tell you directly.
